There are Many ways to Meditate, and I can guarantee Others will disagree with this approach, but this is a necessary Option for those with Noisy Children, Animals or Traffic. We have to work with what we have and if we are striving for Truth, it will Eventually reach us.
We Work with What We Have
First, you need to find a quiet place so as not to be distracted, or you can choose a place with many distractions, because it doesn’t matter if you are interrupted, have to get up, or have to go to the bathroom.
IT DOES NOT MATTER
Just get up, Guilt free, not Irritated and come back and try again. NO BIG DEAL.
The goal is to live day to day in a Meditative state. So there WILL BE noise and distractions. Use your mind to ignore them, or get up and deal with it, but do not let it bother you. Every Moment of Irritation is an Opportunity to Respond in a Healthier way.
Choosing how we react to experiences is an opportunity for Growth.
Sit or lay somewhere comfortable. If you fall asleep, it does NOT MATTER. (Unless you have to be somewhere, then set an alarm) Do not get Frustrated or Disappointed, no matter what. Your INTENTION to TRY is worth the most Energetically. Do not have Guilt or Shame if you quit early or feel that you do not get Results. Be GRATEFUL the the moments that you DID get to go inwards. Each moment is Effort and Experience. It is creating the Habit. The results are already in Action.
Because there is growth INSIDE that you do not see.
Making EFFORT is working towards the goal. That means there is progress. If you can not see the exterior progress, then it HAS to be interior. Thank the time you were working towards Growth no matter how short it may be.
Start with asking God/Angels to keep you Grounded and Protected. Ask to be a Channel of
Energy to Source and imagine roots coming through the bottom of your feet, reaching through Mother Earth.
Next,
Meditate Silently or with Instrumental music, Ceremonial gongs, or Mantras.
Eyes Closed is Much Easier for Beginners
I have not Mastered Eyes Open because I Blink as Soon as I know I am Not going to. I have never even Won a Staring Contest.
I needed you to know that. ha!
With Guided Meditation. It tells you what to do. In my opinion, some are helpful, others are not, Dig through and find one that makes you feel Connected to their voice.
Allowing all thoughts, but noticing if ANY negativity comes up it is switched immediately after acknowledgement. Eg. Reliving a bad experience-stop Thoughts about it, tell Self it cant be changed and then let the Thought be replaced by anything Positive.
Focusing on One thing. Breathing/heart/third eye etc. When a thought comes up, Acknowledge, Release it and Refocus on the one thing.
Choosing something that you are in Conflict with and are Looking for Solutions. Think about it, but do NOT let your Thoughts get Negative. Keep them uplifted ALWAYS and solutions will start coming. Like magic. The Trick is to KEEP THE THOUGHTS POSITIVE NO MATTER WHAT THE SITUATION IS.
The most Difficult is attempting Silence and trying to push out all Thoughts. I would call this the Advanced level.
When you are done, just take a moment to open your heart
(Imagine a little zipper opening and you are Allowing GOD into it)
and Give Gratitude.
