Sacred Tobacco Snuff

Rapèh  is a strain of Tobacco, originating in the Amazon which has been used for sacred ceremonies for hundreds of years.   The exact recipes differ for each shaman and is Traditionally passed on through Apprentices, which can take years to learn as Rapèhis mixed with varieties of plants for differing medical, ceremonial and personal uses.   

The difference between Rapèh  and common Tobacco is that Rapèh  is a much stronger Tobacco and it is not processed with chemicals.  It is completely natural and its strength is acknowledged and embraced to assist in our Healing with Gratitude.

For ceremonial uses, Tobacco is sometimes offered by all participants, usually thrown into the fire while giving gratitude or while setting your intentions for the ceremony.  The shaman or medicine person usually smokes a pipe and blows the smoke at the participant and/or in all directions while saying prayers when giving medicine to someone.  Tobacco is also smoked but not inhaled by participants for different ceremonies.  

Rapèh  is dried and ground with other medicinal or hallucinogen plants closen for the desired treatments.  It is ground into a fine powder, usually a shade of green, with a faint unrecognizable smell.  The practitioner kneels before you and instructs you on how to breathe and when you signal that you are ready, you place your tongue on the roof of your mouth and they insert a traditional bone or wood Rapèh  pipe into your left nostril and blow the powder in.  

It is an instant awakening and grounding at minimum.  At maximum, you will feel at one with the Universe. You take a few more breaths out of your mouth and they continue with your right nostril.  Your eyes usually water, sometimes you cough, but the more practice you have with it, the easier it is to work with it.   The key is to relax, and then be grateful for the opportunity to share this medicine and in doing so, it actually passes the discomfort much quickly.  You will find you are much more aware of what is going on and feel Empowered.

Rapèh  is a purging medicine.  It is meant to Cleanse you of all Toxins, negative Energy  and even Thoughts.  How much you purge is dependent upon what plants are added to the Rapèh  and the amount that you take.  This means that it can continue working for days Spiritually.  Large amounts can cause vomiting and/or diarrhea, however, completely normal.
